How to properly register on the platform?

🔐 Registering as a New Client on the B2B Platform – Step-by-step Guide + Common Issues

You can register on the B2B platform in two ways:

  • You can register yourself as a new client (if the platform owner has enabled this option),

  • Or you can be invited by an administrator (e.g., during the onboarding process).

Below we explain both scenarios and list the most common issues along with how to resolve them.


🟢 1. Self-registration via the login page

If the platform allows self-registration:

  1. The client visits the login page and clicks the "Register" button.

  2. In the first step, the system will ask for:

  • Country (❗Important: selecting the correct country ensures proper VAT ID validation),

  • VAT ID (NIP) – if valid and the company is listed in the GUS database (Poland only), the process moves automatically to the next step.

  1. In the second step, you’ll be asked to provide:

  • Company name and address details. For companies registered in Poland, some data may be auto-filled from the GUS database. (❗Important: these registration details will be used for invoicing and cannot be edited later),

  • Language preferences for the platform (if multiple languages are available).

Clicking "Register" saves the data and displays the message:
📨 "Your company account has been registered"

A confirmation email will be sent to the provided address:

  • "SALY – Your company account has been created" – includes a link to create the administrator account (optional if the user doesn’t fill in the data immediately).


📌 Optional: If the user wants to create an administrator account right after registration, they can remain on the screen and fill in:

  • First name, last name, email, phone number,

  • Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions (we recommend clicking the linked document before confirming).

Clicking "Register" again will save the data and display:
📨 "User account has been registered"

Another email is sent:

  • "SALY – Activate your account" – includes a one-time activation link for setting a password.

After clicking the activation link, the user:

  • Sets a secure password (min. 8 characters, lowercase, uppercase, digit, special character),

  • Completes the registration process.


🟡 After Registration – What’s Next?

In most cases, the newly created account must be activated by a platform administrator or your sales representative.
This process usually takes a few minutes and may include the assignment of your trading conditions or discount levels.
You will be notified by email once your company account is activated.


⚠️ Common Issues and How to Solve Them

No email received / delayed delivery:

  • Check your SPAM, Promotions, or Notifications folders.

  • If the email address is an alias (e.g., a shared mailbox), make sure synchronization is complete – group addresses may not receive emails instantly. Manually refresh your inbox.

  • If in doubt, ask your administrator or sales rep to resend the invitation from the panel.

  • If the email still doesn’t arrive, it may be due to the sender’s domain being new or unverified. In that case, add the platform’s email address to your allowlist/safe senders.


Clicking the link leads to a 404 error or a blank form:

  • Close the previous registration tab,

  • Reopen the invitation email and click the link again – the form should now load properly.


Clicking “Create Administrator Account” after the process is complete triggers an error:

  • If the administrator account has already been created, clicking the link again will display:
    "This company account already has an administrator. Please contact them to receive an invitation to the platform."

In this case, you can simply ignore the message – your registration was successful.


Activation link not working – token expired or inactive:

Some companies use advanced email security systems that automatically scan links in incoming messages.
Although designed to protect users, such systems may "click" the one-time activation link before the recipient even opens the message.
As a result, the token becomes invalid, and the user may see an error or a blank page.

If this happens:

a. Ask the administrator or sales rep to resend the invitation or activation link,
b. We recommend asking your IT department to add the SALY platform domain to your allowlist to prevent link scanning,
c. Alternatively, consider using a private email address (e.g., Gmail) for the first login.


🧩 After Registration – What Can You Do?

  • The company administrator can add other users, manage shipping addresses, and configure branches.

  • After your account is activated by your sales rep – you can log in and place orders.
